Job Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate, responsible, and experienced Home Child Care Provider to care for children in a private household located in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC. The ideal candidate will support the physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs of the children in a safe and nurturing environment. You will be responsible for day-to-day child care tasks, light housekeeping duties related to the children, and following the family's parenting preferences and routines.
As a vital member of the household, you will help establish routines, ensure the well-being of the children, and support their growth through interactive activities, proper hygiene, and a structured daily schedule. You may also be required to accompany the family on trips and provide overnight or weekend care when needed.

Ability to follow household rules and parenting styles
Light housekeeping and meal prep related to children
Requirements:
Ability to communicate in English
No formal education required
Experience in childcare (asset, not mandatory)
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (citizen, PR, or valid work permit)
Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Comfortable working in a private home setting
Able to handle light household tasks and travel with the family when needed
Responsibilities:
Change diapers
Follow parents’ lead with toilet training
Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Prepare infants and children for rest periods
Supervise and care for children
Tend to emotional well-being of children
Experience and specialization:
Experience with infants/young children (asset)
Light housekeeping and routine management
Meal prep for children
Willing to assist during family travel
Special needs care (optional asset)
Additional information:
Must be flexible with work hours, including weekends and evenings
Live-out position (work at employer’s home, not remote)
Must be reliable, honest, and patient
Good communication with both children and parents
