Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Tour Manager to oversee and coordinate travel itineraries, ensuring seamless experiences for our clients across Alberta. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of tour operations, from planning to execution, while maintaining high standards of customer service and safety.
Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in tour management or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
- Familiarity with Alberta’s tourist attractions and geography.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license; additional language skills are an asset.
Requirements:
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (required)
- First Aid and CPR Certification (preferred)
- Tourism or travel industry certifications (e.g., TICO, CITC) are an asset
Computer and Technology Knowledge:
- Experience using travel booking systems (e.g., Tourwriter, Rezdy, or similar)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with GPS apps and mobile itinerary tools

Responsibilities:
- Design and organize comprehensive tour packages tailored to client needs.
- Coordinate logistics including transportation, accommodations, and activities.
- Manage budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Lead tours, providing informative and engaging commentary.
- Handle on-the-spot issues and emergencies with professionalism.
- Collaborate with local vendors and service providers.
- Maintain detailed records and reports of tour activities.
Experience and specialization:
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in tourism, hospitality, or event management is advantageous.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred.
- Experience with travel booking software and tools is beneficial.
